Samsung ES8000 vs Samsung ES7100 Comparison | LED TV Square Off
After we had the Samsung ES8000 compared against the Samsung ES7500, we have had readers mailing us to have a comparison between the Samsung ES8000 top of the line versus the Samsung ES7100. I guess there are many people looking to get the best features without having to buy the top of the line Samsung ES8000 which is obviously more expensive than its cheaper brethren the ES7100 which is also lower than the ES7500.
Screen Size Availability
The Samsung ES8000 has 5 sizes to choose from, quite a big number of variety of sizes for flat panels which are 46 inches, 55 inches, 60 inches, 65 inches, 75 inches.
The Samsung ES7100 has 4 sizes, quite limited but still good choices for sizes to choose from. The Samsung ES7100 has 46 inches, 50 inches, 55 inches, 60 inches.
The Samsung ES8000 has 1920x1080p maximum resolution and has a CMR (Clear Motion Rate) of 960. Has wide color enhancer plus, and supports full hd 2D and 3D quality media. Its microdimming is on the ultimate level for the ES8000 series.
The Samsung ES7100 has similar maximum resolution as the ES8000 with 1920x1080p. This one has a CMR of 720 and also has a wide color enhancer feature. It supports 2D and 3D media with a standard micro dimming feature.
The Samsung ES8000 has DNSe while the Samsung ES7100 has SRS HD quality audio. The DNSe or Digital Natural Surround Engine is better than the SRS HD but still the SRS HD Performs better than a typical stereo surround sound.
Both the Samsung ES7100 and the ES8000 has the Slim LED Design, Connectshare movie, Apps for TV, All Share Play, Search All, WIFI Built In, Web Browser, Smart TV, Smart Hub, Signature Services, Your Video, Skype Compatible, Dual Core Processor.
The only difference here is that the ES7100 doesn’t have the following features – Smart Interaction, Built In Camera, Infrared Enabled.
Bothe the Samsung ES8000 and ES7100 have wireless keyboard compatibility and 4 pairs of 3D Glasses for 3D viewing. The ES8000 has the Smart Touch Remote and a Standard Remote while the Samsung ES7100 only has the Standard Remote.
All in all, the Samsung ES7100 is still a very good buy if you are really eyeing into performance rather than the model rankings. True, ES8000 may be the top of the line model for Samsung for 2012, but that does not mean that the Samsung ES7100 wouldn’t perform just like one.
Nonetheless, both LED TV from Samsung are still superior in any angle and really does give that bang for the buck that most buyers really want.
